    Barry - It's with much deliberation that I must make a request of you. There comes a point in life when we must all assess what we've been given and consider if we can sacrifice a little for the greater good of others. As you are the keeper of the sacred CFH protective helmet, I ask that you pass the helmet on to our Stretch. As many of you have observed this week Stretch has not been the usual Stretch. He's been quiet, slow-witted, and almost sleepy. The esteemed medical panel of the Morning Crew diagnosed Strecth with a concussion, suffered as a result of an 'incident' over the weekend. That incident left Stretch bloodied and beaten (by his girlfriend). It's in the interest of the Morning Crew and Stretch, that possession of the CFH protective helmet becomes his.

    As the benevolent dictator, most revered and omnipotent keeper of the helmet, I hereby bequeath and betroth said helmet to Stretch. I do so with the hope that it provides the warmth and protection it has provided so many before him. Wear it with pride and protect it always. So let it be written, so let it be done.

    Thank you Barry. I will wear it with honor, during the next WOD, for the entire WOD. I will vow to have it protect me from all sinks and other inadament objects that jump out and injure me. I will use it to fend off Jumper's flying elbows and Timmy's body flatchulence I will honor the helmet

    What is an "inadamant" object? Is that an object that is really not too forceful in its opinion?

    Barry - Stretch is in a really strange place. Concussions are big stories in all the accounting journals and the AICPA is actively working to reduce the number of concussions sustained by accountants during the [tax] season.

    Would someone please provide a description of a Tabata Deadlift. I can not find one in the resource section. Thanks.

    Stretch does not have a concussion, the real doctor has spoken. He will now use the power of the helmet to bring him back to health.

    Rich - TABATA Deadlift does not involve the C2 Rower. Baryy "master of all things deadlift" can give you the details.

    Rich - tabata anything, in this case deadlift, is 8 rounds of 20 seconds work/10 seconds of rest. In that 20 seconds do as many reps of the particular movement. The goal is to maintain that rep number throughout the 8 rounds. Your score is the lowest number of reps you have for a round (i.e. 12-12-10-10-10-8-7-6, your score would be a 6). Ultimately, you are doing about 2 and a half minutes of real work and it will destroy you. I am sure you love the tabata row as much as I do. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

    Rich, Tabata = 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest for a total of 4 minutes which equals 8 rounds of work/rest. You can Tabata virtually any movement. The key is that you go all out during the work period. A tabata deadlift should leave you in a puddle on the ground.
