The 2014 CrossFit Open starts this week! Please read!

CrossFit Hamilton & CrossFit Open 2014 Post 1.

Open Athletes and Athletes at CFH who are not signed up for the open,

So it begins. I completely understand how you are feeling right now in anticipation of Thursday’s 14.1 global revealing. I am here to tell you that it will be okay. A thorough plan is in place to make sure that this one of the best experiences you’ve ever had at CFH.

Pertinent Information:

Any and all questions in regards to the Open should be emailed to BonanniFitness@gmail.com with the subject line “CFH Open 2014”. This will allow us to quickly and efficiently address everyone’s concerns over the next 5 weeks.

There will be NO standard Open Gym on Fridays.

There will be NO standard 6pm and 7pm Class on Mondays.

On Thursdays, after the announcement from CrossFit HQ, I will be posting the WOD, standards video, and all necessary information related to the workout on the CFH website as well as Facebook.

Friday night and Monday night are the ONLY times we will be doing the Open WODs with a legitimate judge. This gives you two different attempts at it if need be.

Any member who is unable to make it to the gym in time for a 5:30pm heat on Fridays needs to let us know in advance. There is no showing up late in an attempt to sneak into a later heat. If you miss your heat time you will most likely have to wait until Monday to compete and complete!

You CAN do that same workout at 6am, 9:30am, or 12pm on Fridays, but you will not be “officially” judged and therefore cannot enter that score on the games.crossfit.com website.

On Fridays, the first heat will begin at 5:30pm. The gym will be open prior to that so as to allow athletes to warm-up and do all the necessary stuff prior to the first heat’s start time. We don’t envision heats going past 8pm, but this is largely dependent on the WOD which is released each week.

Please see above for Monday night. A different workout will be posted for Monday at 6am, 9:30am, and 12pm ONLY.

If you are traveling, I recommend you contact an affiliate close by and see if you can drop in. Please see Joey for help with this.

Also, for those who are not signed up for the open, no problem! We will have a heat just for you on Friday night and Monday night at a specific time so that you can still workout. Please standby for the exact times.

There will be a designated warm-up area, spectator area, and workout area each week.

We encourage you to tell your family and friends to come out to support you and you fellow CFH members!

You have until 7pm on Monday night to submit your score on games.crossfit.com. YOU will be responsible for submitting your score.

We will be having “beers and cheers” following the completion of the first workout on Friday night 2/28.
