Coach, I wanted to share something with you.
This picture was sent to me last week. It is the file photo that my work has of me; our division admin sent it along because she thought I’d probably want it to be updated. They use this in promotional stuff etc. I think this picture was probably taken in late 2008 or early 2009 and I haven’t seen it since then.
I weighed around 265-270 back then and was a slob. I was “down” to a beefy 240 when I started with you at CFH in April of last year (I still cringe when I remember how badly I shit the bed 5 minutes into my first workout with you guys). While I haven’t seen a drastic change during the paleo challenge, I have continued to slowly lose weight. I was 206 this morning – 212 at the start of the challenge.
I feel one hundred percent better – I have a quality of life that I didn’t know was out there before – and most important to me, I now have the confidence to take on challenges (like the Ironman, Tough Mudder) that I spent the last 30 years telling myself I would never be able to do. Crossfit Hamilton has changed my life in a big way. Thanks for kicking our ass and setting a high standard that everyone in the gym has to chase. I’ll continue to spread the word.
