Dave is the founder of CrossFit Hamilton and has been immersed in CrossFit (since 2007) for over nine years now. His passion for fitness and sport has led him in many directions from basketball, to surfing, to rowing and for many years as an ocean rescue and competition lifeguard. His skills as a coach come from years as a student and an athlete.Qualifications:
Joey’s commitment to nine years of dedicated CrossFit training (since 2007) has strengthened and empowered him, allowing him to overcome adversity in all facets of his life. CrossFit has not only taught Joey about proper fitness, wellness and nutrition, but perhaps even more importantly it has demonstrated the power of a dedicated and driven community, and has revealed just how much that community can achieve when it works towards a singular goal. Joey has been Seminar Staff Trainer for CrossFit HQ since 2012. Joey gets to travel the world inspiring, cultivating and learning from others as an ambassador for CrossFit.
Rob truly believes that fitness is a lifelong journey. Rob has been playing various competitive sports his entire life ranging from soccer to baseball. He has experienced many types of fitness programs and training routines throughout his high school and collegiate athletic careers. None of those fitness programs compared to the positive results he found with CrossFit in 2010. He was mostly surprised by the mental and physical challenges that CrossFit gives athletes every day. He also liked the fact that CrossFit supports a healthy and active lifestyle. Rob is a teacher at Nottingham High School, where he has coached soccer and baseball for many years. He has years of experience coaching baseball and soccer at all high school levels. Rob knows a lot about teamwork and the amazing accomplishments that can be reached with it. “CrossFit Hamilton is my team. It doesn’t matter who you are, when you walk into the door of CFH you are greeted with smiles and constant support for reaching your goals. It is the best fitness community around and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”
Matt has always had athletics in his life - soccer, baseball, etc. His true passion became swimming at a very young age. His swimming career ended after college and he began coaching. Matt also found himself in the typical globo gym scenario, becoming a "master" of the elliptical machine and incline bench press. This continued for many years, with limited results and boredom. In February of 2013, his wife signed him up to take an intro CrossFit class at his local box in California. The rest is history. Matt discovered his athletic passion again in CrossFit. He loved being coached, receiving technical tips, the competition and the community of the box. Coaching CrossFit was a natural fit since he enjoys passing on his knowledge and enthusiasm for fitness to the rest of the community.
Matt is a graduate of Steinert High School and is an Exercise Science student at Mercer County Community College. He has been lifting weights and competing in athletics his whole life. Matt found CrossFit in 2015 and has never looked back. Matt loves the community and the promotion of wellness and nutrition that CrossFit provides for people.
Tori has always been a competitive athlete, and will continue to be throughout life. She found her competitive nature at a very young age through soccer. Tori's passion for the sport really took shape during her high school career playing varsity at Steinert High School. This foundation allowed her to pursue her dreams of playing D1 soccer at Rutgers University. She feels humbled at what she has accomplished thus far, and is ecstatic that she can continue to express the love for the game by competing in a Semi-Pro league with the NJ Wildcats. Tori has learned that with success, sometimes there will be setbacks. She had her first ACL tear in high school. She began lifting and strength training, however; like any one new to the strength training world, she had a lot to learn. Her second torn ACL in college showed her that she needed to find something different, and that is when she found CrossFit Hamilton. Tori has now been involved with CrossFit for over 5 years and has never looked back. CrossFit keeps the healthy competitive drive alive, paired with a welcoming sense of community that keeps her coming back for more. Tori truly believes that no matter where you are in your fitness journey, CrossFit has no limitations and can benefit anyone and everyone.
Barry has competed in organized sports all of his life including football, baseball and rugby. It was not until he found CrossFit Hamilton though, that he truly came to understand what it is to be fit. CFH reignited Barry’s passion for fitness and introduced him to a new passion, nutrition. Further, the impact of CrossFit has been so noticeable in his everyday life that he cannot help but want to share these passions with everyone he meets. The next logical step in Barry’s CrossFit evolution is coaching and he cannot be happier to be able to share what he has learned about fitness and nutrition with the community at CFH, the place where it all began for him. Barry is also an attorney. He and his wife live in Robbinsville with their two little boys.Qualifications:
I’ve been involved in sports and athletics all my life so being able to perform as best I can was important to me. I was in and out of globo gyms not really having any direction. Once I found Crossfit in 2011 I was sucked in. Being around other people that push you to be better is something I’ve always thrived from. Soon after I started Crossfit I knew I wanted become a coach and learn as much as I could about Crossfit methodology. My love for coaching and Crossfit led me to Crossfit Hamilton and the incredible community around it. What I’ve been able to accomplish as a CrossFit athlete and coach has changed my life.
Larry has been lifting weights since his early teens. Larry was introduced to CrossFit by a Fitness Instructor while working out at a local gym. His first class took place five years ago and lasted a total of four minutes. He has been hooked ever since! Larry has since attained his Level 1 Trainer Certificate and teaching for the last two years. Larry strongly believes health is a conscious lifestyle choice that is necessary for longevity and happiness. CrossFit is not just a fitness program but more importantly, CrossFit is a way of life.Qualifications:
Alex has been active in sports since he was 4 years old. He started with ice hockey and continued to play until he was in his early 20s. Alex also took on wresting in high school and into college and then branched out into triathlons in his mid-20s. In search of better overall functional movement, Alex found CrossFit in 2010 and went onto become a USAW Weightlifting and CrossFit Level 1 Coach. Alex's goal is to help each athlete be the best version of themselves in a safe and functional way.Qualifications
After years of different exercise routines and fitness activities, Lisa discovered CrossFit and hasn't looked back. That was 5 years ago, and her CrossFit journey has led to positive developments in all aspects of her life. Lisa contributes CrossFit for her healthy, nutritional lifestyle, for being able to move more efficiently, and a renewed love for fitness
After a successful sophomore year as a D1 track and field athlete, Taylor decided to train at CrossFit Hamilton in her off season to gain more strength and confidence in her upcoming seasons. Taylor fell in love with the way it challenged her everyday, and the sense of community that came along with it. CrossFit gave her the strength and speed she needed to continue out her track and field career. The best thing that CrossFit has given her is the ability to stay active and motivated even after graduation, and hopefully, for a lifetime.
Jenna started her athletic career as a competitive gymnast, leading to almost 10 years on the competitive team. She then picked up lacrosse, playing all the way from middle school through college. After graduation, Jenna needed to find something to scratch the competitive itch. Having tried the regular "college kid fitness routine" of going to the gym and having no idea what to do there, Jenna was encouraged to give CrossFit a chance. Two years later, Jenna is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, is eager to continue to her education in the sport and has learned firsthand exactly why CrossFit has taken the fitness world by storm.
