I just realized that it has  been 6 months since I started CF.  It has been an eye-opening experience that has completely changed the way I look at health and fitness.
So I walked into CrossFit Hamilton 6 months ago thinking, as a runner, that I was in the best shape of my life.  Ha!  Silly me for thinking that!!  After going through foundations with Joey, and seeing all of the AMAZING CrossFitters around me, I realized that I had a LONG way to go.  It was then that I decided, I would not quit, but I would stick with the program and just learn as I went along.  I also learned that SKINNY was not HEALTHY!
As a teacher, I also decided to LISTEN to everyone who was willing to help me to keep my form, learn a skill, and to simply get it!  Fortunately, for me, so many of you were always th…ere to give me advice.  I also thought it best  to be a sponge and just observe everyone around me that knew what the heck they were doing.  So if you caught me staring……I promise it was just for me to LEARN from you ;).
Well now, 6 months later…..I have muscles 🙂  When you have friends asking you what you are doing to stay in shape, you know that you are part of something pretty special.
But you know what, the thing I value most about CF Hamilton, is that I have created relationships with people who have their hearts set on being better than they were the day before. These same people rejoice in your success and help you through your struggles.   It is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
So to my CF family…..I say thank you!  Thank you for being such an amazing group of people who continue to inspire me every time I’m at the box.
To all the newbies…..CF Hamilton will change your life
